The creation of the Torrey Pines Lodge, also known as the Torrey Pines Comfort Station, is a familiar compromise in San Diego for the efficacy of traffic and the preservation of San Diego's natural beauty. There were many of our pioneers involved in the funding and building of the Lodge including George Marston, Ellen Browning Scripps, and former Mayor John Forward.
