The Morena Conveyance South & Middle and Morena Conveyance Bike Lanes project will connect the Morena Pump Station at Sherman and Custer Streets in Bay Park with the Morena Pipelines Northern Alignment in University City.

This project includes the installation of 48-inch wastewater forcemain pipeline (approx. 36,170 LF) and 30-inch welded steel pipe brine centrate/conveyance pipeline (approx. 36,170 LF) and associated appurtenances.

The Morena Pipelines Southern Alignment begins at the Morena Pump Station at Sherman Street and Custer Street and continues north on Morena Boulevard, Milton Street, Chicago Street, Jellett Street and Denver Street to Clairemont Drive.

The Morena Pipelines Middle Alignment begins on Clairemont Drive near Iroquois Avenue and continues north through Bay Ho to Clairemont Mesa Boulevard (north of Clairemont Town Square), Genesee Avenue and ends near Appleton Street.

Bike Ways

This project will install improved bikeways along impacted roads within the project limits:

• Genesee Ave.
• Clairemont Mesa Blvd.
• Clairemont Dr.
• Morena Blvd.
• W. Morena Blvd.

Construction Schedule

Anticipated Start: October 2022

Anticipated Completion: 2025

This project will require both nighttime and daytime construction at various stages. Stakeholders will be notified of any anticipated changes in the work schedule 7 days in advance via door hanger.

Nighttime construction is expected to take place on weekdays from 4:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Daytime construction is expected to take place on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
