Sanna Loando
Director of Policy
Sanna Loando was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, and came to San Diego for graduate studies in 2016. After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Political Science in 2018, she worked for former Council President Georgette Gómez, overseeing the College Area, Kensington, and Talmadge communities of District 9 and advising on numerous policy issues. In the District 7 office, Sanna previously served as the community representative for the Navajo community, before transitioning to advising the Councilmember on policy matters full-time. She currently serves as the Director of Policy, overseeing issues relating to land use, homelessness, budget, mobility and infrastructure. Sanna is fluent in English and Swedish.
