Summer Patton
Policy Advisor
Summer Patton serves as a Policy Advisor for Council District 7, focusing on housing, homelessness, childcare, and small business support.
Prior to joining the office of Councilmember Campillo, Summer managed government relations for Intesa Communications Group, where she led community engagement and strategic communications for a range of projects and issues throughout the San Diego region. She also has experience as a policy coordinator with the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she worked on small business, veterans, and military family policy.
Summer earned her master's degree in public policy at UC San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy, specializing in quantitative methods for program design and evaluation. She received her bachelor's degree at UC San Diego in International Studies and International Migration Studies. Outside of work, Summer loves playing soccer with friends or running with her husband, Seth.
