Crane Friedman

Crane FriedmanDirector of Communications and Events

Crane Friedman is passionate about using effective communication to drive change in his community. Crane began his career in public interest work by completing a fellowship with Denver-based labor rights law firm Towards Justice, where he played a role in important victories for Colorado workers, such as expanding overtime and minimum wage protections.

Upon graduating from Colorado College in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Crane helped flip Michigan blue as a field organizer with the Michigan Democratic Coordinated Campaign. In San Diego, Crane has used his communications skillset to facilitate more progressive wins at the ballot box, such as the successful 2022 ballot measure to overturn San Diego's ban on project labor agreements. Crane joins the District 7 team having most recently worked at the San Diego County Board of Supervisors as a Communications Coordinator.

In his spare time, Crane loves to travel, watch soccer, catch up with friends, and explore the San Diego region.
