Director of Community Engagement

Having previously served the Northern District 1 communities and later the La Jolla community, Emily Lynch currently holds the role of Director of Community Engagement. Prior to joining District 1, Emily worked with several national nonprofits, and before her career in nonprofit management, Emily earned a Bachelor's in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from San Diego State University.

Emily also has experience working on local and national political campaigns, where she gained invaluable experience, and looks forward to translating her skills over to serve District One. She is passionate about environmental justice, women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and animal welfare. She spends her free time volunteering for a local dog rescue and hiking along the San Diego coast.
