PAD Program Associate 

Nathaniel “Nate” Balch is the newest member of the Project Heart Beat team serving as the community outreach and PAD Program Associate as part of the partnership between Falck Ambulance and San Diego Fire-Rescue EMS. A born and raised San Diego local, Nate is dedicated to working directly with the community of his hometown and helping in any way he can. Growing up, he engaged in community service at Father Joes Villages, feeding the homeless and volunteering his time. Nate has worked as a 911 EMT on an ambulance for the past five years and still currently operates as a first responder when not working with Project Heart Beat. Nate also attended Palomar College, where he completed the Fire Technology and Emergency Management program. When not on duty, Nate enjoys appreciating the natural beauty of San Diego by going to the beach and hiking.
