Library Locations
The San Diego Public Library has new hours starting August 29, 2026! Please see here for the full list of changes.
On Sept.1, 2026, the following locations will close for building renovations:
- Ocean Beach Library Expansion (anticipated reopening Summer 2028)
Last day to pick up holds at the branch is Saturday, Aug. 29. Holds will then be moved to Point Loma/Hervey Library. - Rancho Peñasquitos Library Improvements (anticipated reopening Fall 2027)
Last day to pick up holds at the branch is Friday, Aug. 21. Holds will then be moved to Carmel Mountain Ranch Library.
Mission Hills-Hillcrest/Knox Library
Mountain View/Beckwourth Library
