Part of the Nobel Athletic Area, the library is situated next to a City recreation center and park facilities that include a leash-free dog park and children's playground. The North University Community Library opened in September 2007. Featuring several community meeting rooms and an outdoor courtyard, the 16,088-square-foot facility frequently hosts concerts, performances and cultural events. A large-scale light sculpture outside the front entrance represents the library's connection to the neighboring science and technology industry.
