Carmel Valley Community Park Pickleball Center
Project Background
The Carmel Valley Community Park Pickleball Center project involves the creation and approval of a General Development Plan (GDP) for the existing park in Carmel Valley Community Park. The General Development Plan Amendment is to incorporate a restricted use pickleball complex at Carmel Valley Community Park. The turf located west of the Carmel Valley Rec Center is proposed to be a public outdoor sports facility in this GDP amendment proposal. This facility could include but is not limited to multi-use sports courts or fields, a clubhouse, and a concessions stand. As part of the GDP process, input is needed from the community.
Scope of Work
This project is to develop a GDP that identifies the following improvements to Carmel Valley Community Park Pickleball Center:
- Processing of a GDP amendment through the Carmel Valley CRG and Parks and Recreation Board
The scope will be explored and finalized during the GDP process through community, Council Office, Parks & Recreation Department and other stakeholder engagement to determine exactly which of these park amenities, and potentially others, will be included.
