Canyonside Community Park Tennis Center Expansion

Project Background

The Canyonside Community Park Tennis Center Expansion project involves the creation and approval of a General Development Plan (GDP) for the existing park in Canyonside Community Park. The General Development Plan Amendment is to make additions and changes to the tennis facility, batting cages and, drop-off location. As part of the GDP process, input is needed from the community.

Scope of Work

This project is to develop a GDP that identifies the following improvements to Canyonside Community Park Tennis Center Expansion:

  • Expansion of the Tennis Facility
  • Addition/relocation of Batting Cages
  • Addition of drop-off location
  • Processing of GDP amendment through the P&R Board.

The scope will be explored and finalized during the GDP process through community, Council Office, Parks & Recreation Department and other stakeholder engagement to determine exactly which of these park amenities, and potentially others, will be included.

CRG has already recommended approval of the proposed project.
