To enhance public outreach and engagement, the Department has consolidated the previously separate Community Parks I and Community Parks II Committees into a single public information meeting called the "Parks and Recreation Area Committee." This meeting will offer updates on Parks and Recreation operations and is open to the public. Department leaders will share information on various topics related to Parks and Recreation and invite community feedback. Stay connected about these meetings by signing up for email notifications. The goal of this restructure is to foster open community meetings that are accessible to the public, uniting all communities and divisions. By disseminating Department information uniformly across all areas, the initiative aims to ensure that all patrons feel welcome and engaged in park projects, activities, and spaces. The restructure also seeks to implement an equitable and inclusive community engagement strategy, addressing any barriers that may hinder or prevent participation. Ultimately, the goal is to inform, involve, collaborate, and support each community while boosting participation and engagement, helping everyone learn more about the Department and its offerings.

The Parks and Recreation Area Committee meeting will be held bi-monthly on the 1st Wednesday of the month beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Zoom. Meeting link and/or call-in information provided below.
