Library Book Sales
The San Diego Public Library provides a number of regular, branch, monthly, and special book sales. Below is the general information about our book sales to the public.
Central Library Book Sales
The Central Library's book sales are run by the Friends of the Central Library. Central Friends (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation). For additional questions, please contact the Central Friends at 619-238-6655.

As part of its support for the San Diego Public Library, the City of San Diego has joined all of the Friends groups in a dollar-for-dollar "Matching Fund" program, to double the amount of your donations. We are grateful for the support.

Branch Book Sales
Daily Book Sales are run by Friends of Libraries' groups at the below Branch libraries, during most of the open hours of the branches. Books and other materials are sold at great low prices, and all proceeds benefit Library programs. Because the book sale hours can vary, depending on varying schedules of our volunteers and friends, we recommend you check via phone with the Library branch before visiting for a daily book sale at the following branches:

Monthly Book Sales
Friends of The San Diego Public Library host a monthly book sale. The proceeds from sales go to support the San Diego Public Library. These sales are held at the University Heights Branch Library, Lower Level, 4193 Park Blvd., at Howard Street. These sales are held normally on the third Saturday of each month, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, contact the Friends of the San Diego Public Library at 619-542-1724.
