Security Issues
When using any network connection, including the wireless Public Network, do not enable file sharing or print sharing. If you do so, other people may gain access to your hard drive and files, or misuse your computer. It is also highly recommended that your laptop has up-to-date antivirus software installed.
Prohibited Activities
Illegal or inappropriate use of the Internet is not permitted. If inappropriate images are displayed in view of others in the Library, the offending party will be asked to leave the building.
The library discourages the use of personal Wi-Fi hotspots originating from cell phones, "MiFi" wireless routers, Wi-Fi controlled GoPros, Wi-Fi extenders, repeaters, and other similar networking equipment within the library, as they can disrupt the free wireless network.
For our Library policies and information on Internet access, see our Internet Access Services information.
