Ethics Training Program
City of San Diego Council Policy 000-04 requires that all City officials complete ethics training upon assuming office and every two years thereafter. This requirement applies to the City's elected officials as well as to the City's unclassified employees, agency employees, board and commission members, and consultants who file Statements of Economic Interests. Ethics training covers key provisions of the City's Ethics Ordinance.
The Ethics Commission conducts live training sessions for unclassified City officers and employees. These individuals may sign up for a training session through the City's learning management system, Success Factors. Certain board members, commission members, and agency employees also attend live training sessions arranged through their respective liaisons. The Ethics Commission also has an online program for City consultants and most board and commission members. The online program is also conducted through Success Factors.
Please contact the Ethics Commission at (619) 533-3476 for assistance regarding its ethics training program.
