About Personnel
The City of San Diego Personnel Department maintains a competitive merit system that provides equal employment opportunity to all applicants. An employee, contract worker, volunteer or job applicant who believes that he or she has been discriminated against at work can file a complaint of discrimination with the City of San Diego Equal Employment Investigations Office (EEIO).
If you believe that you have been discriminated against because of your race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability/genetic information, sexual orientation, or other protected status, you can contact EEIO at 619-236-7133, EEIO@sandiego.gov, or 1200 Third Ave., Suite 300, San Diego, CA 92101-4188.
You can download, complete, and print an Internal Discrimination Form and submit in person, by mail, via fax, or email. The fax number is 619-236-7138, the email address is EEIO@sandiego.gov.
