The Loss Recovery Division serves the taxpayers of the City of San Diego and departments within the City of San Diego, who have an interest in monies owed to the City of San Diego. The Loss Recovery Division investigates claims in behalf of the City, working closely with City departments to determine the validity of claims and obtain accurate costs, which are provided to the responsible third parties. The Loss Recovery Division is dedicated to utilizing all available resources in the collection of damages that are sustained to the City of San Diego’s property, as well as injuries to City personnel. In addition, the Loss Recovery Division takes an active role in presenting insurance claims with the City of San Diego’s insurance policies.
