The City's Workers' Compensation Plan is self-insured and self-administered in accordance with the California Labor Code. Staff provides information and assistance to injured employees and other defined customers including all City departments. Staff further investigates, determines and delivers appropriate benefits including all medical and salary continuation benefits, death benefits to surviving dependents, disability benefits and coordination of vocational rehabilitation for disabled employees in compliance with all state mandates.
