Medical Provider Network (MPN)
Last updated December 2024
A Medical Provider Network (MPN) is a group of medical providers that the City has created to treat workers injured on the job. The Medical Provider Network is approved by the California Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) under Title 8, California Code of Regulations, sections 9767.1 - 9767.19.
An injured employee is required to treat within the Medical Provider Network unless they have an approved pre-designated physician to treat them for workers’ compensation injuries before the injury occurred.
