University Community Library

University Community Branch Library will be temporarily closed effective Sunday, August 3, 2025 due to facility improvements! Hold requests will be transferred to North University Community Library.  The bookdrop will also be closed during this time.

Built to serve the community of University City, the 10,000-square-foot facility opened in 1978 to replace a small but heavily used storefront library in a nearby shopping center. Community support for a stand-alone building helped bring this library into existence. Young adult materials are popular at this library, making up almost half of the circulating items. The library offers programs for patrons of all ages, including a monthly concert featuring local music performers and a weekly video game club for youth.
