Data Access
Open data is a resource meant for everyone. But let’s face it – using data is hard, and using it correctly is even harder. Our goal is to empower all San Diegans, from the most tech savvy to the least, to access and understand City data. Our team examines and shares insights, information and visualizations collected from quantitative and qualitative data.
Get It Done
A popular resource to connect community members to City services, Get It Done makes it easy to report issues in your neighborhood from any electronic device. Our team manages and improves Get It Done, and we work hard to create other engaging tools to serve City employees, residents and visitors in San Diego.
Process Improvement
As self-proclaimed data nerds who work in local government, we often use strangely specific words to describe what we do. At the end of the day, our job is to make City services more efficient and accessible. Through data collection and analysis, customer engagement, and a lot of research, our department improves processes to help City employees better serve San Diegans.
Strategic Planning
The objectives and outcomes defined in the City’s Strategic Plan guide us toward the future we are actively creating for San Diego. Our team members help City employees and leaders turn strategic goals into operational results.
