Teaching Kids To Swim - Get Involved
"Prevent Drowning San Diego" - Help Support Our Vision
Prevent Drowning Foundation of San Diego, formerly known as the San Diego Junior Lifeguard Foundation, believes drowning is preventable and its vision is to ensure every child in San Diego knows how to swim.
Since 2009, the foundation has worked to prevent drowning and save children's lives by targeting underserved communities that need swim lessons and aquatic water and ocean safety education. With our local school, community and aquatic partners, Prevent Drowning San Diego has impacted thousands of young people in San Diego County and made their lives safer and more enjoyable.
Over the last year, the Prevent Drowning Foundation of San Diego funded $150,000, impacting over 10,500 people within the San Diego community. With this funding, the foundation was able to help approximately 6,000 kids experience swim lessons/beach visits, along with 4,500 aquatic safety lectures.
