Donny Nguyen joined the Office of the Independent Budget Analyst (IBA) in October 2024 as a Senior Fiscal & Policy Analyst. Donny began his career with the City of San Diego in 2008 with the Public Utilities Department as an Associate Management Analyst. During his tenure, he has spent time with the Parks and Recreation Department as a Senior Management Analyst in the Open Space Division and then went on to Facilities Services Division as a Supervising Management Analyst. Prior to coming to the Office of the IBA, Donny was the Administrative Services Program Manager with the Department of General Services – Fleet Operations Division.

Donny was born and raised in San Diego. He attended Montgomery High School and San Diego State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.
