Duties and Functions
The Defined Contribution Plans Trustee Board (the Board) oversees the investments of the City’s defined contribution plans (the Plans). The Plans include the SPSP, SPSP-H, 401(a) and 401(k). The Board meets quarterly, at minimum, to monitor fund performance. The Board also oversees the external investment consultant and third-party administrator. With guidance from the Plan’s Investment Policy and recommendations from the investment consultant, the Board may add, change or replace a fund.

Defined Contribution Plan Trustee Board Run-Off Election Open from Sept. 30 – Oct. 4, 2024
An election was held from Aug. 19 through Sept. 3, 2024, to select the next Defined Contribution Plan Trustee. To win the election, a candidate must have a majority of the votes. In this election, none of the candidates received a majority. As a result, a run-off election will be administered between the two candidates that received the highest number of votes. The two candidates participating in the run-off election are as follows (listed alphabetically):

If you are an active 401(a), SPSP, and SPSP-H Plan Participant, you are eligible to cast your vote for the next Trustee on the Defined Contribution Plans Trustee Board. The run-off election will be held from Sept. 30 through Oct. 4, 2024. Please follow the Voting Instructions to cast your vote by Oct. 4, 2024.
