Spanish-language Disinformation Crisis
Combating the Spanish Disinformation Crisis, San Diego Public Library, in partnership with the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, announces a series of panels in Spanish designed to address the Spanish language disinformation crisis. Panelists include media professionals from University of California San Diego, San Diego State University, Univision, KPBS, CBS 8, and City of San Diego. Journalists from Voice of San Diego and San Diego Wave will moderate. Each panel will discuss: the problem of Spanish language disinformation across media platforms; the dangers of consuming false media information; and tools to recognize quality news from reliable sources.
