Central Library Concerts

The San Diego Central Library is pleased to announce the Fall 2024 Concert Series schedule!

Now entering its 69th season, this signature program of the San Diego Central Library continues to provide free concerts for the downtown community and will feature some of San Diego's finest musicians.

After last season's successful theme highlighting the anniversary of the library's Steinway piano, we are excited to offer a new theme to kick off the 2024-25 Season:  All About That Bass (Clef)!  Many Fall Series concerts will include lower-range instruments rarely featured as solo instruments. Musicians will demonstrate the melodic spectrum of instruments such as the double bass, contrabassoon, Hutchins violins, and more. Highlights of the Series include performances by members of the San Diego Symphony, a Tango-themed program by Camarada, and the return of the Odeum Guitar Duo. As in our annual tradition, the season will commence with the Toy Piano Festival in partnership with UC San Diego Library.

In addition to Concert Series events, the Library will continue collaborating with the highly acclaimed Hausmann Quartet to present more concerts as part of The CINEMA + SOUND SERIES! Join us for the first program of this series on Sept.  29.

Plus, don't miss the San Diego Youth Symphony's Concerto Competition in November, now in its third year hosted by the Central Library.

Please visit the Events Calendar for more information and updates.
