Benjamin Eastman

Benjamin Eastman is the Senior Director of Tourism Development of the San Diego Tourism Authority (SDTA), where he oversees the organization’s efforts to promote San Diego to tourism partners as a top destination for leisure travelers – with a particular emphasis on international visitors.

Eastman’s 25 years within the tourism industry provides him a unique insight and notable influence within the sector. Since 2015, he has been a part of the Visit California International Committee along with a select group of destination leaders from across the state to help drive more international visitation to California. He also serves on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s District Export Council for the San Diego region.

Prior to joining the SDTA, Eastman was the Internet and In-Market Corporate Sales Manager at the San Diego Zoological Society, Marketing Manager for a group of Caribbean properties and Product Analyst for a major travel wholesaler on the East Coast.

Eastman is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego in La Jolla, California, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
