Jamie Wilson
District 4 Representative
Jamie Wilson was born and raised in San Diego and is a proud community member of District 4. In addition to a lifetime of lived experience, Commissioner Wilson runs a program called Project Rejuvenate through SAY San Diego. She services gang impacted youth ages 12-17 through emotional literacy, job training, and youth advocacy opportunities and trainings. Jamie has worked on legislation changing statewide juvenile DNA policy while working closely with the ACLU and former Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzales-Fletcher.
Commissioner Wilson is a Certified Gang Specialist, a researcher, writer, and youth advocate, whose goal is stop gang violence through restorative methods. She worked closely with the Ad hoc Gang Documentation Committee for years to end the twenty-two San Diego County gang injunctions in April 2021. By strong recommendation from District 4 Councilmember Monica Montgomery-Steppe and Mayor Todd Gloria, Jamie looks forward to bringing action items that will reduce gang-related violence throughout San Diego.
