Fire Station 2 at 1171 10th Ave. was closed in 1971 and combined with Station 1. In March 2016, the new Bayside Fire Station 2 project began. Station 2 is located at 875 W. Cedar St. and serves Little Italy and the Downtown area west of the train and trolley tracks. It’s a 25,000-square-foot, three-story building with solar panels, rooftop greenery and public art. It opened in June 2018.
