Community Reinvestment Review Advisory Committee

Duties and Functions

As outlined in San Diego Municipal Code Chapter 2, Article 6, Division 23, the Committee was established to review Community Reinvestment Plans, evaluate annual reports on Community Reinvestment Plan activities, and provide the City Treasurer and City Council with recommendations regarding the community reinvestment performance of financial institutions as provided in the Responsible Banking Ordinance.

Composition

(a) 6 23 2 The Community Reinvestment Review Advisory Committee shall have six designated members and one at-large member.  The six designated members shall be appointed from the following representative areas of organizational interest, expertise and background:  (1)  One member who represents the San Diego small business community; (2) One member who represents the San Diego large business community; (3)  One member who represents a community-based organization whose principal purpose is community development; (4)  One member who represents a community housing development organization;  (5)  One member who represents a community-based organization whose principal purpose is economic development; and (6) One member with experience in banking, including experience in small business and consumer lending. (b) An officer, paid employee, consultant, contractor, subcontractor, or member of the board of directors of a financial institution shall not be     considered for appointment to the Committee.   (“Qualification of Members” added 10-10-12 by O-20200 N.S.; effective 11-9-2012.)
