Torrey Hills is a small community of homes, apartment complexes, office buildings, and hotels. The community of 5,400 people is situated between Interstate 5, Carmel Valley and the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve. The location provides the community with diverse topography, borrowing mesas from the east, ridges with steep slopes from the west and canyons from the south. Development in Torrey Hills has been undertaken with the dual vision of enhancing the natural wildlife habitat and providing mobility to the many surrounding employment centers.
