The Bike Kitchen provides library users with access to shop-grade bicycle tools, professional assistance, along with hands-on learning opportunities and educational resources.

 

This project is supported by the Friends of the Central Library and the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.

Kate Cowper and Taylor Gill of Hub + Spoke Cycleworks provide instruction for performing minor repairs, basic maintenance, and equipment overhauls on your bicycle. Each video covers tools needed and step-by-step guidance for getting your bike safe and ride ready.
