Book Drops Are Now Open!


We are pleased to announce that all exterior Book Drops will open 24/7 to accept library materials at all 36 of our library locations. The reopening of our Book Drops is part of our phased approach to continue to provide library services safely to our communities.

When are the book drops open?


Our book drops are open 24 hours seven days a week at our 36 library locations.


 

May I return all items through the book drop?


Please note that Wi-Fi Hotspots, Interlibrary loans, and Circuit books must be returned in-person to a staff member.

 


Can I bring materials to donate to the library?



Yes! Please contact your local library location to find out if they are accepting donations. Please do not leave books or other donated materials outside of library locations. We cannot guarantee they will not be stolen or damaged by inclement weather. Thank you for thinking of SDPL for your donations!


The Friends of the San Diego Central Library is accepting most donations, they can be contacted at sdfocl@gmail.com.


The Friends of the San Diego Public Library is accepting corporate or large book donations (15 or more boxes), they can be contacted at info@friendsofsdpl.org
