Donations, Loans and Temporary Exhibits of Artwork

The City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture manages the acquisition of artworks through donations and loans. Each potential art acquisition is evaluated through a public process to determine its relevance to the City's Civic Art Collection mission and scope.

To have an artwork considered for inclusion in the Civic Art Collection, please review the Council Policy on Donations to the City (PDF) and submit a completed Application for Donations of Artwork - Fillable Form (PDF).

To have an artwork loan considered by the City, please submit a completed Application for an Incoming Loan of Artwork - Fillable Form (PDF).

The Commission also manages temporary exhibits of artwork on City property. To have a temporary exhibit of artwork considered by the City, please submit a completed Application for Temporary Exhibits of Artwork - Fillable Form (PDF).
