Basics of Building Benchmarking for Ordinance Compliance and energy efficiency

Description:  The first part of this training series will be offered online and will provide participants with an overview of San Diego's benchmarking ordinance. Building owners, facility directors, and others involved in reporting their building's energy usage will learn about the basic requirements of the ordinance including the timeline, exemption process, and more. Participants will also understand the steps to comply, including gaining access to utility data and ENERFGY STAR Portfolio Manager, and the resources that are available to assist. San Diego Benchmarking In-Person Training #2 

Date: May 2, 2024 

Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm PT 

Description: The second part of this training series will be offered in-person at the San Diego Central Library in Downtown. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops and work through the benchmarking process on-site with staff. Experts will be available in the room to answer questions and help guide you to ensure your building complies with the requirements. Register here.

Date: May 13, 2024 

Time: 11:00am – 12:00pm PT 

Description: The third part of this training series will be offered online and will focus on helping building owners comply with the City’s benchmarking ordinance. Participants will receive an overview of the reporting systems including ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and linking their data with the city’s compliance tracking software called BEAM.
