The Street Division is responsible for the maintenance of certain segments of approximately 300 bridges within the City limits. These bridges vary in size and construction type. Some of these are maintained in conjunction with the State of California. The bridges are inspected regularly by either State of California or City of San Diego engineers. We rely on these inspections and notifications from citizens to alert us to needed maintenance.
