Accessity Supports Small Businesses and Economic Growth in the Promise Zone
Accessity is proud to partner with the City of San Diego Promise Zone to help increase economic activity.. Since the area was designated in 2016, Accessity has provided approximately 90 PZ small businesses with $1.14 million. With each Accessity loan creating and maintaining 2-3 jobs on average, this activity has helped support an estimated 225 jobs. It has also helped stimulate the local economy, increase the vibrancy of business corridors, and provide vital products and services within the PZ.
Accessity has assisted small businesses within the PZ such as Chuy’s Toys & Collectibles. The owner, Jesus Piza Serna, has a shop on Imperial Avenue in Logan Heights selling action figures and other collectibles... Chuy’s Toys & Collectibles received technical assistance to help grow Jesus’ business and a $2,500 loan from Accessity to purchase additional inventory for last year's holiday season.

A Successful and Impactful Career Expo Experience
The [March 26, 2024, Youth-Led Career Expo] as a whole was exceptionally well-coordinated. A huge congratulations to the team! We hope you continue this event, as we plan to take our scholars from Hoover back every year! Our scholars mentioned they enjoyed the panels, the professional headshots, and the career VR. Again, excellent job!!!
