Fr David Fucci has over 22-years of chaplaincy experience and serves as the senior pastor and parish priest for Saint Ignatius of Antioch Church for the past 26 years he is also a Benedictine monk. He graduated from Regents College with a BS in Psychology, Geneva Theological College with a Master of Divinity, and Southern California Institute with a Doctor of Psychology.

Fr. Fucci is a Departmental Chaplain for the San Diego Fire-Rescue, the American Red Cross and the San Diego County Chaplain Corps he has also served as a volunteer chaplain for three years at Rady's Children's Hospital and as a Community-Based Chaplain for two years at the La Jolla Veterans Affairs Medical Center and work’s part-time with Vitas Healthcare as a hospice chaplain. Fr. Fucci has completed two units of CPE and is a Clinical Certified Chaplain with the National Association of Veterans Affairs Chaplains, and an Advanced Certified Fire Chaplain-Master Level from the Federation of Fire Chaplains.

In the area of psychology and pastoral counseling Fr. Fucci has considered experience with the California National Guard as a Chaplain in the assessment and treatment of PTSD with over eighteen years of experience treating our military soldiers and airmen. He has completed several courses from the U.S. Department Veterans Affairs in the Assessment of PTSD, and from Johns Hopkins University (Bloomberg School of Public Health) in Psychology, Crisis Response, and Disaster Mental Health Intervention. Fr Fucci has also completed several courses in Critical Incident Stress Management. Fr Fucci has completed 3,000 hours of pre and post doctrinal experience in psychology for licensure as a California licensed psychologist.

Fr Fucci is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force School for Fire Protection Specialist and has served as a military firefighter for several years. He is also a National Board Certified Firefighter II with the U.S. Department of Defense (IFSAC) and the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (Pro Board). Fr Fucci holds membership in the California State Fire Chaplain Association, Federation of Fire Chaplains, National Association of Veterans Affairs Chaplains, and International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and is a lifetime member of the International Honor Society in Psychology (Psi Chi).
