Missing Middle Homes
Projected Completion: 2025
Missing Middle Homes are townhomes, rowhomes, and small-scale multiple-home buildings that are built in a way that enhances and complements the surrounding traditional single homes that can provide home options for first-time homebuyers, families with children, and middle-income households. These types of homes are often “missing” due to regulatory barriers such as zoning that limits the available land where these types of homes can be built. The Missing Middle Homes Initiative will include home design guidelines to provide sample plans, layouts and designs along with a framework to allow for the development of these homes in more areas in the City in a manner that will enhance the City’s neighborhoods.
