California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Toolkit

Projected Completion: 2026

Cover of 2023 CEQA Statute & Guidelines

The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requires public agencies to consider the environmental consequences of their actions. To do this, City staff across multiple departments prepare a variety of environmental documents. The CEQA Toolkit will provide a one-stop shop for both public and private programs and projects that will include standardized templates for environmental documents as well as a collection of City-specific guidelines for applying the City’s CEQA Significance Determination Thresholds.
