David White is an artist and educator whose work examines urban development issues and how aesthetic and cultural forms are used in this process. Often this work unfolds through collaborative projects that explore the urban and architectural conditions that mold civic spaces and public engagement. These projects have taken various forms ranging from running a community-engaged alternative art space to creating workshops in laundromats to films documenting gentrifying neighborhoods. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. He lives in San Diego.
