Judo
Judo is a Japanese martial art. This program focuses on self-defense and staying fit by building awareness and coordination. It is a non-striking martial art suitable for the whole family.
Ages: 5 years to adult
Days: Wednesdays, 5:45 - 7:15 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. - Noon
Cost: Varies per month

Directions and Bus Route
From Interstate 5, take the Clairemont Drive exit (east) and proceed up the hill. The center is on the right-hand side.
From Genesee Avenue, take Balboa Avenue (west) to Clairemont Drive and turn left. The center is on the left.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 27, 50 and 105.

The center is closed on City Holidays.
Facilities
There is one softball field, one outdoor basketball court, one tennis court, several picnic tables, a gazebo and barbecue grills. Inside the center, there is a kitchen, two meeting rooms and a kiln room. Rooms and the gazebo are available for rent; please call the center for details. South Clairemont Community Recreation Group
This is a group of residents and a forum to address concerns regarding South Clairemont and Tecolote Recreation Centers, Mount Acadia Community Park, East Clairemont Athletic Area and Western Hills Neighborhood Park. Meetings are open to the public and take place on the third Thursday of each month. Please contact the center at 858-581-9924 for more information.
