History of the Center
The center was built in 1986 on previously vacant land.
Directions and Bus Route
From Interstate 805, take the Imperial Avenue exit and head east, make a right onto Valencia Street and then left onto Skyline Drive. The center is on your right.
From state Route 54, take the Woodman Street exit, head north to Skyline Drive and turn left. The center is on your left.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS route 11.

The center is closed on City Holidays.
Facilities
There is a large indoor basketball court, two indoor racquetball courts, a craft room, a meeting room, a large kitchen, one baseball field, one soccer field, two outdoor basketball courts, eight outdoor tennis courts, picnic areas, two tot lots and a swimming pool. Facility and field rentals are available.
Martin Luther King Jr. Community Recreation Group
A citizen group of interested public members meets on the third Thursday of the month at noon in the meeting room. All community members are encouraged to attend.
