SAN DIEGO Following the State Senates confirmation of Assemblymember Dr. Shirley N. Weber as Californias new Secretary of State, Mayor Todd Gloria issued this statement:

I want to congratulate San Diegos very own Dr. Shirley Weber on her historic confirmation as Californias new Secretary of State. Dr. Weber has been a fearless fighter for the people of California and the moral conscience of the Legislature for years. As our new Secretary of State, I have every confidence she will move our state to be more equitable and just for all of us.
