Get It Done Celebrates Successes

Two city workers filling in pot holes

This week marked the eighth anniversary of Get It Done! Since the launch of this program, significant improvements have been made to reflect the City’s commitment to providing the best possible experience.

The program launched in 2016 with 34 services and has been expanding ever since. The City now offers 75 different services through Get It Done and receives more than 1,000 requests per day.

Recently, the City improved the user interface for making passport appointments, including a new, cleaner calendar component. Additionally, City-provided photos have been added to Get It Done reports to demonstrate the work completed by the Transportation and Stormwater crews.

Some fast facts:

  • More than 2.3 million requests have been received from the mobile phone app, the City’s website and via telephone since the program started in 2016.
  • In 2023 alone there were 429,000 service requests submitted via Get It Done.
  • The Get It Done mobile app has been downloaded more than 250,000 times and has about 15,000 active monthly users.
  • Since the 2021 launch of the Spanish-language version of the mobile app, more than 500 requests have been submitted per month in Spanish.

Your feedback matters! Enhanced feedback surveys were launched in 2022, and since then the City has received more than 20,000 responses from users about their experiences with Get It Done. This information is used to drive continuous improvements in the process.
