Background on CCA: How We Got Here
The City of San Diego is moving forward with Community Choice Aggregation in order to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2035. This path will allow the City of San Diego to form a regional entity that can purchase clean energy on the open market at more competitive rates for customers.

Sept. 17, 2019 - San Diego City Council votes to approve community choice energy and create a joint-powers entity with cities across across the region.
