Orloff

Notes

I was born and raised in San Diego, California, and had the privilege of being a part of the San Diego Junior Lifeguard program, as both a Junior Lifeguard and Lifeguard Intern, from the ages of 8 to 17. I've been a Lifeguard I since 2010, primarily working in the Northern District where I grew up.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree in American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, where I was a member of the NCAA Division I water polo team.  I earned my Jurisdoctor Degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2015, focusing my scholarly writing in the areas of workplace harassment and equal protection. I am now a licensed attorney in the State of California and have experience working as a post-bar intern at the San Diego City Attorney's Office, as a Policy Advisor in the San Diego's District 1 City Council office, and most recently practicing in the area of Criminal Defense. I am a former mentor with the Sage Mentorship Project, mentoring Elementary school youth in Oakland, CA, and have experience as a water polo coach at the high school and collegiate level.  I am a product of those around me and those that came before me, and I am a firm believer in spreading kindness and a sense of purpose to all of the talented lifeguards I am fortunate enough to work with.
