What's Coming
San Carlos Recreation Center is a strong establishment in the community. We offer youth basketball and youth volleyball throughout the year, as well as a variety of other classes
These monthly classes include, but are not limited to:
- Pre-Ballet and Ballet
- Pee Wee Sports
- Arts and Crafts for Toddlers
The San Carlos Recreation Center hosts multiple special events during the year, including the Spring Egg Hunt, Movie in the Park, and the Halloween Carnival. Please call the recreation center office for more information on all our programs, classes, and special events!
Lake Murray Community Park is also managed by the San Carlos Recreation Center and boasts a beautiful playground thanks to the efforts of the Lake Murray Playground Project and the City of San Diego Parks & Recreation Department's park planners. It has been a wonderful addition to the community, and any requested events at this park needs to be approved by the City. Please call the Recreation Center office and ask for the Center Director for any all questions and concerns regarding the Lake Murray Community Park and San Carlos Recreation Center.

History of the Center
The San Carlos Recreation Center opened in 1970, following planning meetings held in area residents' homes. Many of the people who were committed to having recreational opportunities in the San Carlos community then, remain involved with on-going programs and special events.
Directions and Bus Route
From Interstate 8 take the Lake Murray Boulevard exit. Take Lake Murray to Jackson Drive and turn left. Take Jackson Drive to Lake Badin Avenue and turn right. The center is on the corner of Lake Badin and Lake Adlon.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 115 and 854.
