Jefferey Nguyen is a Policy Advisor with the San Diego City Council President Sean Elo-Rivera and Community Representative for the College Area, Alvarado Estates, College View Estates, and El Cerrito. In his position, Jefferey provides insight into economic policies and workforce development. Through his communities, he hopes to help build an open government with freedom of participation and bridge a connection of trust between San Diegans and their local government.  

Born in Santa Clara County to two Vietnamese immigrants, Jefferey was raised in a household that valued their cultural heritage very deeply. He attended the University of California: San Diego in 2013, graduating in 2017 with a degree in Economics with a minor in Theater. Falling in love with San Diego, Jefferey has lived in the City ever since. Jefferey aspires to use his education to give back which led him into working with the City of San Diego where he hopes to improve all communities. 

In his free time, Jefferey enjoys exploring new food experiences, playing tabletop games, and experiencing new undiscovered aspects of San Diego.
