Villa Nueva Community Center was part of a larger renovating project that Casa Familiar teamed up with Steadfast Communities to improve this 37-building apartment complex in San Ysidro. A plate on the bottom reads: '2008 Villa Nueva Groundbreaking'. This was presented to Mayor Sanders at the groundbreaking ceremony on May 14, 2008.
